Scoring drought costs Trojans

PARKVILLE, Mo. — The Hannibal-LaGrange University men’s basketball team scored just four points over a 10-minute span of the second half, leading to a 64-50 loss to Park University in an American Midwest Conference showdown at the Breckon Sports Center.

The Trojans led by a point at halftime and extended the lead to 40-35 five minutes into the second half. HLGU didn’t score again Trevor Ison made a bucket with 4:59 remaining and the Pirates leading by seven.

"This is another tough loss on the road," HLGU coach Jason Durst said. "We have got to keep competing and put together a full game."

Lincoln Elbe and Brady Smith each scored 10 points for Trojans (5-15, 5-20 AMC).
